Montgomery Partnership
This option, a partnership between JHU SOE and Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), offers a Master of Arts in Teaching degree for those interested in becoming certified teachers. The partnership provides some tuition support and full-time internship as a long-term substitute in MCPS schools. The program begins each spring and is completed in approximately 18 months across four semesters. Applicants must commit to teach in Montgomery County Schools for two years after completion of the University requirements. A new cohort begins each January. Each year the make-up of the cohort is dictated by the needs of the school system.
