Making Access Happen

Just For Me

When we have a variety of learning styles in our programs, we need to differentiate instruction to accommodate all of our learners. Review the following template designed to help support differentiation as you plan for instruction and activities.

Use the slider to slide between the blank and filled version to check out how taking into account a child's readiness, interest, and learning styles can help you plan for activities individualized to the child.

When you're ready, download and print a blank template from the link to the printable template. Then, begin with a child in your program and plan for some activities for the child using the template.

If the interactive does not show up for you, or appear to contain errors, access the following versions for comparison:

Reflection

As you complete the activity, take a moment to think through the following questions:

  • What have you noticed about children’s learning styles in your work?
  • What do you think are the important things to consider when you are setting up learning opportunities for your children?
  • What steps are you taking to differentiate learning activities?
  • How will you learn about additional ways to differentiate learning activities?
