Overview

In this module, we will discuss a variety of strategies to promote healthy social-emotional development, manage challenging behaviors, and contribute to the developmental appropriateness of your environment. We will be looking at different settings and groups throughout this session. The information in this session can be used by a variety of educators who work in different settings.

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

• Identify strategies for individualizing learning experiences to promote social-emotional development, manage challenging behaviors, and developmentally appropriate practice
• Apply concepts learned to develop strategies for setting up your child care environment to promote social-emotional development, manage challenging behaviors, and developmentally appropriate practice
