Let’s review what we have discussed in the Family Engagement module. We identified strategies to enhance family engagement in the development, implementation, and evaluation of IEPs. We provided information on how to create a welcoming environment, implement culturally responsive practices, and comply with federal and state legal requirements. We examined school-centered IEP topics and changed them to reflect a family-centered approach. Finally, we reviewed the wizard checklist to create a family-focused IEP process.
